Memory Wire Wood Bracelet

Memory Wire Wood Bracelet

So here goes my first tutorial I thought I would start out with an easy project that anyone can do and customize anyway they want. What I love about memory wire is that it stays coiled and you can clip off as many or as few wraps that you would like to complete the look you were going for. Recently I have seen a lot of nature inspired jewelry pieces and many that incorporate wood elements in them. So I dug through my bead stash to see what kind of woods beads I had hiding out and this is what I came up with.

Supplies
Memory Wire
Memory Wire Cutters ( if you try and use your regular cutters it will dull them in no time.)
Round Nose Pliers

Beads
For this project I used
4- 16mm wood beads
15- 8mm wood beads
110- 4mm wood beads
(I bought these from Hobby Lobby they came in bags of mixed wood tones)

The amounts I listed above were for a bracelet that wrapped your wrist 3 times, again if you want it bigger or smaller just adjust the amount you cut off your memory wire spool.

The first thing I did was to cut the memory wire. After that with your round nose pliers you will take one end of the wire and wrap it into a loop.

From this point I just started adding my beads on in no particular pattern, I thought it looked a bit more organic just being random.

As you keep adding beads to the memory wire you may have to push them around to the end of the wire so you can continue adding your beads until you get close to the end. When you have about a half of an inch of wire left that is where you will stop to create another wrapped loop to hold all of your beads in place on the bracelet.

Your bracelet is finished and it is time to wear!!! Remember you can use memory wire for all different types of beads so dig into your own bead stash and get creative. Have fun beading!
